This morning I had the opportunity to climb up 45m to the top the steeple of the Matthäikirche in Düsseldorf’s Düsseltal district. It was a sunny day, so I could see this neighborhood of my hometown like I had never seen it before.
On the way up, there were several signs (#vintagetypograhy) warning of the dangers of climbing up.
Next to one a horseshoe had been placed. I’m not quite sure what that was for. It couldn’t have been meant as a good-luck-charm, this was a church after all.
At the top.
